How It Works at Primary Purpose |
|
We operate rustic facilities on 16 acres in rural Mendocino County where a maximum of 16 men participate in a structured sober living environment for up to one year. Some are referred; many are inspired by word of mouth from previous residents and their families. Others find us on their own. While here, all share in common the experience and practice of a new way of living based on the 12 Step approach. This includes:
Past Participants Tell Us"No swimming pools nor catered meals, just good support & all the tools needed to start a life of sobriety. I have been sober since the day I arrived at Primary Purpose 14½ years ago." — A.B., Santa Rosa, CA "My stay was a life changing experience that went from not wanting to be at another rehab to staying six months longer than anticipated and continuing my recovery to this day." — S.S., Sebastopol, CA "Without the guidance of the loving, caring staff and residents at Primary Purpose I doubt that I would be where I am at now. I am grateful, life is good today." — M. R., Albion, CA "Today I have hope. Thank you Primary Purpose for being there in my time of need." — M. S., Redding, CA "After trying several rehabs with no success, a friend told me about Primary Purpose and 12 years later I am still clean & sober." — J.S. Corona, CA "Today I have a new life, a new career & a debt of gratitude to my humble beginnings at Mendocino County Primary Purpose." — R. J., Sacramento, CA
